RoSA is excited to partner with Pittsburgh Filmmakers for this unique workshop experience. Capture your own image of the Carrie Furnaces on solid METAL! This exciting workshop introduces the historic photographic process of “dry plate” tintypes. Popular during the late 19th century, tintype photographs were originally photographed on enameled iron and sometimes called “Ferrotypes”. Join visiting photo artist Jeffrey Krsul at the furnaces and don’t miss your chance to have your own unique image of the Carrie Furnaces preserved forever! (This workshop also includes standard digital photographic opportunities for participants.) Participants will spend time in the field shooting the Carrie Furnaces and travel to Pittsburgh Filmmakers for the second portion of the workshop including dark room development.
